Parlor sits between close-up and stage. Everyone gathers, the show has a beginning and an ending, and the magic still happens close enough that nobody is watching from across a room.
The show
One room. One audience.
Twenty to thirty minutes as standard, and it can be made longer or shorter to suit the room and the schedule. It's built as one piece rather than a run of unrelated tricks, so it goes somewhere by the end.
Most of what happens uses your guests. Their choices, their memories, their handwriting. The show is different every time, and the story they tell afterward is one they were in.
People stay involved throughout, and nobody gets humiliated. I don't need a volunteer to be the joke.
